Toli is a small village enveloped in the Gharwal region of the Himalayas. It is the birth place of the Himalayan Master “Swami Rama”, a witness of benevolence, compassion and SEVA.
Toli has this beautiful antique house built in 1930’s making it a century old house, which is nothing less than a palace of that era. It was built by Late Shri Prayag Dutt Dhasmana, elder brother of Swami Rama to whom Swami Rama was more like a son than a younger brother.
Late Shri Prayag Dutt Dhasmana was a deeply compassionate human being who whole heartedly devoted his life to serving humanity. His deep involvement in Philanthropy encompassed all possible areas spanning from healthcare, education, research, infrastructure to true empowerment of the human spirit.
Toli has a strong enigmatic charm to it. The aura of the place brings peace & deep healing for the soul.
A Place not just a home, a “witness” of being a reward to someone.
A Place not just a home, a “witness” of humanity to vicinity.
A Place not just a home, a “witness” of a birth of great ideology.
A place not just a home, a “witness” of an extraordinary love and upbringing which was uncommonly common those days.
The beautiful house has ten rooms with a lot of reading material and pictures from the past, has a kitchen area and an open porch. Renovating it into an ashram while preserving its sanctity so as to open it for spiritual seekers and Sangha is a pledge by SRI.
Toli is situated very close to the “Tarkeshwar Mahadev”, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and is easily connected by road. There is also a beautiful trekking route of 7 kms from Toli to the Temple. SRI team envisions including the Holy trekking trail as part of its regular Sangha activities.
Toli is not just a place…It is a remembrance …..A Tribute to the Holiness of the Himalayan Master!!
